Vote Bitter to Elect McCain-Palin

By being creative and relentless, we will make sure the next vice-president of the US is Gov. Sarah Palin. I will be writing here about Sarah, a truly remarkable woman, on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. The vicious campaign waged against her is really a campaign against the American people, the "normal Americans" who make this country work.

In order to get a "National Vote Bitter Day" Sarah tee-shirt, please click on the banner at the top of the sidebar to your right. If you have any trouble (and you won't), you can get in to see and purchase the material by clicking on the following: http://votebitter.com/steve. To make a purchase, you'll have to put in the promo code, which is my first name: steve.

One way you can generate the funds you need to help John and Sarah -- and to help the people who are campaigning full-time for them -- is to wear you "Vote Bitter" colors. Another way is to purchase 10 or 20 (or 50) tee-shirts and sell them at a small premium. Then, sink the money into campaign efforts. The product is inexpensively priced.

Thanks to all of you who are choosing to "Vote Bitter." Wear your shirt on November 4. Heck, wear it every day! Show your support for a "normal American," Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska. "Barack? In your face, my man." As the saying goes, "We ain't bitter -- just better."

Obviously, the Vote Bitter project is aimed at key states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, and Virginia.

On Monday, September 29, a national effort will be launched by many bloggers to get voters to "Vote Bitter." The goal is to get hundreds of thousands of voters in Battleground States and elsewhere to wear their "Vote Bitter" tee-shirts on election day, November 4.

The project will entail a massive show of solidarity with Senator John McCain and, especially, Gov. Sarah Palin.

"VOTE BITTER" PROJECT LAUNCH MONDAY

In order to get a "National Vote Bitter Day" Sarah tee-shirt, please click on the banner at the top of the sidebar to your right. If you have any trouble (and you won't), you can get in to see and purchase the material by clicking on the following: http://votebitter.com/steve. In order to make a purchase at the votebitter site, you'll have to put in the promo code, which is my first name: steve. Thanks for choosing to "Vote Bitter." Wear your shirt on November 4. Heck, wear it every day! Show your support for a "normal American," Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska. "Barack? In your face, my man." As the saying goes, "We ain't bitter -- just better."
On Monday, September 29, a national effort will be launched by bloggers to get voters to "Vote Bitter." The goal is to get hundreds of thousands of voters in Battleground States and elsewhere to wear their "Vote Bitter" tee-shirts on election day, November 4. The project will entail a massive show of solidarity with Senator John McCain and, especially, Sarah Palin.

It will involve the sale of tee-shirts and other products. Many of the people involved, including yours truly, have been spending every spare moment of time -- and sinking every available dollar -- into the effort to elect John McCain. In my case and that of others, that's where every dollar accumulated from this effort will go between now and Election Day.

Tomorrow, I'll have up the URL links to all the bloggers who are participating. Some of them are among the most-visited sites on the blogosphere. In the meantime, please view the video and the audio. Between now and the launch at 11 a.m. Monday, visit what will be one of the most dynamic sites around: http://votebitter.com/. You'll be able to hear the radio ad that will promote the "Vote Bitter" undertaking.

On November 4, please "Vote Bitter." With your support, we will win this election.

Creative Actions for McCain-Palin

I sent the following to the many bloggers and web site administators participating in efforts to ensure the eledtion of John McCain and Sarah Palin. If you dall into that category and have heavy traffic on your site, e-mail me at: TalkTop65@aol.com. -- Steve

Dear Bloggers and Web Site Administrators: I'm asking you to respond no later than Monday if you're interested in the following. The image above is dynamic, in-your-face and aimed especially at states with lots of hunters, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Virginia.

Many of us will be offering this product for sale -- at $14 per shirt, which includes shipping. If you wish to offer it on your site, you will receive $1.00 (one dollar) for every one ordered from your site. All you would have to do is to put up a couple of simple gadgets (gidgets?) on your site. The order process will be simple, and it will be possible to get them through priority (or, even, I believe Fedex).
If you blog or site is active and gets 2,000 or more page visits per week (or soon will), it probably makes sense for you to participate. Your investment will be zero. Your administrative costs will be zero. Your risk also will be zero. If you decide to participate, you wiil have to fill out a simple form so that we can pay you legally.
Why am I supporting this effort? The key is that it will benefit McCain-Palin -- and may even have a small effect on their winning this election. In my case, every nickel "extra" I get -- and this has been true since February -- will go to the campaigns of John and Sarah and other candidates who back them.
What you do with the money you make -- a little or a lot -- is your own business. This being America, that's as it should be. If your site sells 5,000 products -- and some of them will -- you will get a check for $5,000.
I look forward to working closely with all of you in the years ahead as we continue to try to right the various wrongs we've seen in the political system and, especially, the media. Again, if you want to participate in this venture, please respond by e-mail before Monday noon.
I will send you the "affiliate" form as soon as I get your okay. This project will be well underway by Tuesday of next week. If it makes sense for you, I hope you'll participate. If you don't want to, just don't respond.
If you know high traffic sites that might be interested, let me know.
If you're interested in multiple t-shirts, let me know by e-mail.

How McCain Wins the Election

This message will go out to 1,000 bloggers and other onliners tomorrow. It's about how we are going to win this election for John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Tracy (a political ally), Tracy, I'm going to distribute your site (http://talkstraight.org) widely tomorrow. I think we need to emphasize more and more practical steps (phone calls, contributing money, going door-to-door), the ground game, needed to win the election.

There are several issues that will continue to be "big," including William Ayers, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, and Obama's ties to the people (Franklin Raines, Jim Johnson, Goldman Sachs executives, etc.) that caused the financial crisis. (Also, we need to continue branding Obama as vaguely alien, un-American.)

In PA and Ohio, Biden's anti-clean-coal remarks will be significant. I'm finding a lot of practical benefits in going into the Beaver GOP office, making some calls (not a lot), and urging people who come in -- many -- to volunteer their time. To win the election, Obama MUST carry Pennsylvania, and it increasingly looks like he will not be able to do so.

We've got to emphasize the McCain Online Phone Bank (http://www.johnmccain.com/PhoneBank/NoPhoneBank.aspxand) and actually get people to use it.

The key is not to overwhelm people -- and to give them simple instructions on what to do . . . and say. I'm emphasizing McCain's "creative and dynamic leadership" in choosing a qualified woman -- a fellow maverick -- as his running mate. For most voters, that will be enough.

It's a big task. We need a million people to make an average of 25 phone calls each -- and then for them to make another 25 in the last 10 days of the election. If we do that, we will win.

We really need to get simpler and simpler as the campaign proceeds. People like Paul, who has great material on the ground game, Kathy Morrison, and Wendy are going to play more and more important roles. We also need to energize people in New Jersey (and perhaps even NY) to win those states.

This is a rather sobering message for bloggers, who like to debate sexy "issues," many of which are of little interest to the public. The election is now about character, who has it (John and Sarah) and who doesn't (Barack and Joe).

Obama Knee-Deep in Financial Crisis

As this week goes on, you'll read a great deal here about how rogue financial institutions have been pouring money into the coffers of Barack H. Obama, not only in the presidential election but earlier in his U.S. Senate race. Obama's hand has been in every cookie jar on Wall Street.

It's important to go to http://opensecrets.org in order to do some serious research on Obama's fundraising, including this year and his 2004 Senate race. Obama, after Chris Dodd, was the biggest recipient of donations from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his economic adviser, Franklin Raines, was a major architect of the financial disaster. So, too, was Jim Johnson, who (briefly) headed Obama's V-P search team. McCain is exploiting this.

But a key point to bring out how many millions (tens of millions?) Obama has received from financial firms, not only Fannie and Freddie, but also Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, and many, many other firms whose hands are dirty in the recent financial events. Goldman Sachs has treated Obama like the world's most expensive mistress.

Bloggers and other onliners: We need to concentrate on issues that will ring a bell with the American people and avoid ones that mainly academic exercises. The fact that Obama has received millions from people who caused the economic crisis will resonate.

Also, Obama is pulling out of one state after another -- North Dakota, Montana, Alaska (of course), Georgia, and, soon, North Carolina. That is not a sign of a candidate who's doing well. People are figuring out that this is a guy who raises lots of money from people of questionable character, starting with Tony Rezko.

The most important things all of us can do between now and the election are: (1) tell family and friends we support McCain/Palin (and why); (2) Go to McCain's Online Phone Bank and make as many calls as you can. You can get to the Phone Bank by clicking on the following: http://johnmccain.com/PhoneBank/NoPhoneBank.aspx.

On your phone calls, give your name and location, be e, be firm (in your support of John and Sarah), and be relatively brief. Thank people for their support of McCain-Palin.

Biden Bye-Bye, Hillary Hello?

In his piece linked below, Pittsburgh columnist Jack Kelly cites me (correctly) as one of the sources on the movement to dump Joe Biden and replace him with Hillary Clinton. I stand by the story, although it becomes more difficult for Obama to act as the story gains greater publicity. Obama nemesis Cristi Adkins and I interviewed Jack Kelly yesterday on Clintons4McCain Blog Talk Radio (accessible soon on the widget to your right).

Dump Joe Biden Idea Gaining Momentum
September 18, 2008

We reported here on Peace and Freedom yesterday that some top Democrats are now urging Barack Obama to dump Joe Biden as his vice presidential running mate and replace the Senator from Delaware with Hillary Clinton, the Senator from New York. The rumblings of this idea persist….and are gaining momentum….Link to our article from yesterday and then read below Jack Kelly’s take on all this:

Could Hillary Replace Biden As Obama VEEP Candidate?

By Jack Kelly
The Washington Times
September 18, 2008
COMMENTARY:I

n what now seems the long ago days between the time Sen. John McCain chose Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate and her acceptance speech, there was considerable speculation in the news media that Mr. McCain would drop her from the ticket.

This was entirely a media invention. There was no sentiment among Republicans for replacing Mrs. Palin, and Mr. McCain - whose loyalty to his friends nearly cost him his life in Vietnam - is not the kind of person who would desert his choice.

And there was a very practical reason why this option never was considered. Sen. George McGovern was going to lose in 1972 no matter what, but the final nail in his coffin was when he dumped running-mate Sen. Thomas Eagleton after it was revealed Mr. Eagleton had had shock treatments for an unspecified mental illness. With one stroke, Mr. McGovern called into question both his judgment and his loyalty.

There has, of course, been no further speculation about dropping Sarah Palin from the ticket after her boffo performance in St. Paul, Minn. But my friend Steve Maloney (who first got me interested in Sarah Palin) says his sources in the Democratic Party tell him Barack Obama is being pressured to dump Sen. Joseph Biden from the ticket and replace him with Hillary Clinton, the switch to come just after the vice presidential debate Oct. 2.

Speculation about such a switch has emerged on several left-wing blogs.“It’s time to dump Biden and replace him with Sen. Hillary Clinton,” said Andy Ostroy on the Huffington Post Monday. “I’m starting to think that if Team Obama doesn’t do something dramatic fast, it’s gonna lose this election.”

(You can read all of Kelly's fascinating article by clicking on the story-link above. The date I hear for the Biden Bye-Bye is Oct. 5 at which point he will feign a serious illness.)

Democrat Blasts DNC, Conention

A Democrat likes the Republican Convention much than her own. This is the kind of commentary you should be reading or hearing in the MSM -- but won't.

It's by Marnie Delano of the Hudson Valley area in New York. She attended BOTH conventions, the Democrats' as a protester and the Republicans' as an invited guest. She was at the GOP event there in support of Gov. Palin. Marnie is a lifelong Democrat, but she's doing important work in backing McCain-Palin. She blogs often and well at: http://truthisgold.blogspot.com/.

She's hoping to come to Pennsylvania to campaign -- although her own state has gotten very close!

A TALE OF TWO CONVENTIONS

by Marnie Delano

Upon hearing the news that Sarah Palin had been chosen as John McCain's running mate and learning of the spate of vicious sexist attacks upon her, Thelma, Louise and Princess Laia veered suddenly left and north to head to the Republican Convention in Minneapolis. In our last episode, we had arrived safely thereon and were making plans to be interviewed and attend Governor Palin's speech scheduled for Wednesday, September 3.

Today finds us mulling over the events of last night, and all the permutations therein. It was a first for this writer: attending a Republican convention was the last thing I ever thought I would be doing.

Amidst frantic phone calls from family asking whether I had lost my mind, I marched forth with my stalwart sisters to make our stand for feminism, women's rights, and human rights.

Irrespective of candidates' ideologies, it is our position that sexist smears, comments and accusations cannot be tolerated, at any time or any place. To continue to allow this kind of thing to perpetuate is to keep all people enslaved. As Hillary [Clinton] says, "Women's Rights Are Human Rights."

We were met at the skybox most graciously by two lovely RNC officials and were immediately struck by the contrast between the two conventions. Just having come from Denver, we had experienced and witnessed a great deal of unpleasantness--delegate intimidation, aggressive Obamabots, hostile and arrogant DNC officials were the rule rather than the exception, and at times the only friends we felt present were the Denver police, the foreign press and the residents, all of whom were terrific.

On the other hand, the officials and attendees here in St. Paul have been nothing but open, welcoming and enthusiastic about our presence. Regardless of whether one agrees with Sarah Palin's policies, one has to respect her right to voice them without fear of her family or herself being maligned.

The utter disrespect and sexism that has emerged, once again, toward a woman running for office in the United States is unacceptable.

When Joe Biden lost a wife and child in a car crash years ago, no one suggested to him that he quit his job to stay home and take care of his children; no one has suggested that he is a poor parent because his daughter was arrested for obstructing justice--in fact, no one even REPORTED the incident, which occurred years ago, until NOW!

And so it goes. It will not stop until we MAKE it stop. Call us what you will--we will not stop until equality is a reality, not just something Democrats feel they can apply only to themselves or those of whom they approve.

Equality is for EVERYone...all races, religions, creeds, genders, and yes...even political parties. Even Republicans have the right to be free from sexist, personal assaults upon themselves and their families. If one is maligned, we are all vulnerable.

The author of the above piece, Marnie Delano of the Hudson Valley, New York, is a member of the NoBama Mission Leadership Group dedicated to the election of John McCain and Sarah Palin. I'm also a proud member of that group.

CLINTON'S HIGH PRAISE FOR PALIN

Sarah Palin doing her "Habitat for Humanity" duties . . .

Recently, in an interview with CNBC's Maria Bartiromo, Bill Cliton gave his initial opinion of Sarah Palin. And it's glowing.

Clinton said, "She’s an instinctively effective candidate. And with a compelling story. And she grew up, came up in a political culture, a religious culture that is probably well to the right of the American center. But she didn’t basically define herself in those terms.

"She basically said: 'Look, this is where I come from. I’m not going to impose this on you. This is what I want to do and I think we can all be a part of.' So she handled herself very well."

Thus, according to Bill Clinton, Sarah has a record of placing the needs of the electorate above her personal beliefs. Someone I can trust to put the needs of our country above the needs of her party. A refreshingly accurate portrayal for a change.

And her abilities as a leader? Bill is impressed.

He says, "But I get why she’s done so well. It’s a mistake to underestimate her. Her intuitive skills are significant."

Is Obama Black + Palin Family

Tomorrow I'll write about "Is Barack Obama Really Black?" The answer will surprise you. If he's elected, he will NOT be our "first Black President," much as he'd like you to think otherwise. Below, see how you can help Sarah and the Palin Family.

"We cling to our God . . . and our Children." Sarah, Todd, and Trig Palin

Note: It's absolutely critical that all of us reach out to as many people as possible to indicate our support for John McCain and Sarah Palin. Here's how you can do so: Make Phone Calls from Home. . . Reaching out to undecided voters in your state. That's vital to spreading the word that John McCain and Governor Palin are the right choice for voters all across America. That's why we're asking you to take a few minutes or even a free evening to make calls for John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin. You can call your local McCain or GOP office and volunteer, or you can phone from home in your spare time. Visit www.JohnMcCain.com/PhoneBank to get started today.
If you scroll down to the column below, you'll read about why Bill Clinton has his fingers -- and perhaps his toes -- crossed when he says he supports Obama ...

Ten Reasons Obama Dumps Biden

In Barack Hussein Obama's Own Words . . .

1. Barack: "Joe, when Sarah Palin said you were a "Beltway Insider and a pompous windbag,' the correct response was NOT 'Hey, will you look at the legs on that gal.'"

2. Barack: "Joe, I forgave your remark about my being 'clean' but did you then have to go and sniff me?"

3. Barack: "Joe, when I said 'presidents don't look like me,' you weren't supposed to shout out, 'No, they look like ME!'"

4. Barack: "Joe, when you reported you drew a crowd of 49 adoring voters, you WEREN'T supposed to include the Secret Service detail."

5. Barack: "Joe your 'lipstick on a pig' line about Palin was NOT WELL RECEIVED."

6. Barack: "Joe in the whole vetting process you claim you 'forgot to mention" that Delaware's number of electoral votes is a grand total of THREE?"

7.Barack: "Joe, a gaffe now then is okay, but why did you introduce me as 'our country's first Arab-American President?"

8: Barack: "Joe, I don't think the best way to get on Michelle's good side is with a stream of 'Yo Mama' jokes.

9: Barack, "Joe, I admit it: when you said you got 9,000 votes in the primaries I misheard it as 9 MILLION votes."

10. Barack: "Joe, why did you tell an African-American audience that 'Even though Barack is more than 90% Caucasian and Arab, I can assure you his heart is Black?'

Hillary, Biden VP Switch Imminent

"Well, I'll tell you, if I were Joe Biden, I'd want to get that V-P thing in writing." (Rudy Giuliani)

Steve Says: In my previous column today, I talked about what I believed to be the replacement by Hillary Clinton of Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket. I just received the following from Carolyn, an activist for soldiers and military families. She lives in the Midwest. I gave the October 5 date for a Biden exit in the previous column. The following is Carolyn's message, citing sources within the DNC:

Date: Sunday, September 14, 2008, 3:05 PM
hi all

Let me share some info with you that i have gotten from excellent sources within the DNC:
On or about October 5th, Biden will excuse himself from the ticket, citing health problems, and he will be replaced by Hillary. This is timed to occur after the VP debate on 10/2.

there have been talks all weekend about how to proceed with this info. generally, the feeling
is that we should all go ahead and get it out there to as many blog sites and personal email
lists as is possible. i have already seen a few short blurbs about this - the "health problem"
cited in those articles was aneurism. Probably many of you have heard the same rumblings.
however, at this point, with this inside info from the DNC, it looks like this obama strategy will be a go. Therefore, it seems that the best strategy is to get out in front of this obama maneuver, spell it out in detail, and thereby expose it for the grand manipulation that it is.

so, let's start mixing this one up and cut the obamites off at the pass - send this info out to as many people as you can - post about it on websites and blogs - etc etc

If you have any thoughts or questions about this, please be in touch.

Lastly, i have put an excerpt from Rudy's speech at the RNC below - it seems to address this
very issue!!
yours in the fight,
Carolyn

Excerpts from R.Giuliani's speech at the 2008 RNC:

Rudy: "ObamaObama promised to take public financing for his campaign, until he broke his promise."

Rudy: "ObamaObama was against wiretapping before he voted for it."

Rudy: "When speaking to a pro-Israeli group, Obama favored an undivided Jerusalem, like I favor and like John McCain favored. Well, he favored an undivided Jerusalem — don’t get too excited — for one day, until he changed his mind."

Rudy: "Well, I’ll tell you, if I were Joe Biden, I’d want to get that V.P. thing in writing."

Hillary Clinton Replacing Joe Biden?

HILLARY CLINTON TO REPLACE JOE BIDEN?

I've been the main voice on the Internet discussing the story that Hillary Clinton -- early in October, it appears -- would replace Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket. I stand by this revelation because I believe it's true. The Houston Post-Chronicle recently printed a story suggesting such a "V-P Switcheroo" could be coming.

Remember that famous Friday a.m. (look back a couple of weeks) when I said at 2 a.m. that Sen. McCain would name Gov. Sarah Palin as his V-P? Many people, including some good friends, said I "must be mistaken." It must be Mitt Romney or Tim Pawlenty, right?

At 11 a.m. on Friday when it was clear the not-so-gentle lady from Alaska, Sarah, would get the nod, many members of the media were angry. Why hadn't anyone told them? Well, I told them. My view of the MSM is that it consists mostly of incompetents who couldn't break an egg let alone a real story.

One development you've been hearing little if anything about is the effect Sarah Palin's tremendous popularity is having on congressional races. Because of America's love affair with Sarah, many Obama Democrats are now afraid they will lose their seats. That has added to the desperation in the ranks of the Party's far-left wing.

Many of the members of Congress most worried are those who truly need their "job" and have been on the federal dole for many decades. Outside the comfy halls of Congress, many of these low-talent people would essentially be unemployable.

Thus, they despise Sarah Palin because she threatens their livelihoods. So, look for a growing number of calls for Obama to: (1) "get tougher" -- to sling more mud and be more negative than he already is; (2) get rid of Biden and replace him with Senator Clinton (or perhaps even someone else).

I hope all the thousands of bloggers and other onliners who are supporting McCain-Palin will highlight the "Hillary" story. That's exactly what Obama, Axelrod, Brazille, and Dean don't want you to do. Continued discussion will shed light on developments the Obama Campaign would rather spring on Americans at the last moment. Note: If you start hearing more stories, as we did last week, of Senator Biden's "health issues" (in actuality, he really doesn't have any), you will know the time is drawing nigh for Joe to exit Left.

My predictions for the Oct. 2 V-P debate (if Joe makes it that far)? Sarah will mop the floor with him. His antics and windbag nature will turn off a huge number of women voters. Sarah will continue to look more "presidential" than either Obama or Biden.

In the 1972 presidential election, George McGovern named as his V-P pick Senator Thomas Eagleton (a fine man, by the way). Then, it came out that Eagleton had once undergone electro-shock treatments for depression. Calls came in from Party leaders to get Eagleton off the ticket.

Senator McGovern famously said he was behind Eagleton "100% -- no, 1,000 percent." The next day McGovern dumped Eagleton, replacing him with Sargent Shriver (JFK's brother-in-law). In November, 1972, McGovern lost 49 states.

Keep in mind the date October 5 (three days after the debate) :-)

Hillary VP Candidate, Biden Out

"Let's roll up our sleeves, America, and get to work."

The column below (yesterday's) about Hillary Clinton replacing Joe Biden on the Democratic ticket is accurate. The information is coming from very knowledgable and patriotic Americans -- who are very fearful what damage an Obama presidency would do to their country.
If Mrs. Clinton accepts the V-P offer -- and it appears she will -- the damage to our nation's political system would be enormous. On a lesser plane, it could destroy her reputation.
[Note: See the following link on "Obama's October Surprise" (month is correct) -- Biden leaving the Democratic ticket: http://www.postchronicle.com/commentary/article_212171504.shtml#share ]

In regard to the "Hillary V-P story," I've heard from several HUNDRED people, including some in the national media. In fact, I have nothing additional to say to them. As time goes on, however, I'll have plenty more to say to you -- and to individuals in the media who do not spend all their waking moments being cheerleaders for a deeply flawed candidate, Barack H. Obama.

How are the "PUMAs" reacting? Most of them are horrified -- and outraged. They have moved on from the Democrats' soap-opera. Most of them love Gov. Palin and strongly support McCain-Palin. They don't want Hillary Clinton to commit the biggest mistake of her political career. They are no longer inclined to engage in endless rationalizations for her behavior -- and that of her husband. Many still revere the Clintons, but they fear they've lost their minds.

We (Clintons4McCain, NoBama Mission, and other coaltion groups) know (as opposed to "believe") that the campaign of rumor, innuendo, and hatred directed against Gov. Sarah Heath Palin is orchestrated by Barack H. Obama and his minion David Axelrod. It's carried on by various extremist groups, including Moveon.org and Daily Kos. The Obama Campaign tells them what falsehoods and innuendoes to print, and they do it. All of these groups are paid -- directly or indirectly -- by Obama, Inc.

What on earth is going on? Please understand that far-left Obama Democrats truly believe "there is no life beyond the Beltway." That is of course ridiculous, but they do indeed accept it as an article of faith. Many of them have huge personal fortunes (Kerry, Kennedy, Kohl, Lautenberg, Rockefeller, Feinstein, Clinton, and Edwards in his day), and they're willing to spend whatever it takes to retain their places in Congress.

The Obama Democrats have as their role model Sen. Robert Byrd of WW, a nine-term Senator, one with 50-plus years of so-called "service." You ask, service toward whom? And the sad answer is "service to himself and his Party." Sen. Byrd, now wearing adult diapers, doddering about the Senate floor, and frequently breaking into tears, is the ideal. He's expected to run for re-election.

His epitaph might read, "He outlasted everyone else." What did he do for his country? Not much. .

Obama Naming Hillary V-P Candidate

One down (Biden) . . . and two (Barack and Hillary) to go. Sarah the Giant-Slayer . . . who has turned American politics on its pointy head . . .

Hillary Clinton to be named Obama's V-P candidate . . . "I have a lifetime of experience. Sen. McCain has a lifetime of experience. Senator Obama has a speech he delivered in 2002." (Hillary Rodham Clinton) This piece is NOT copyrighted.
MoveOn.Org on the Move Away from Biden?
Bulletin at 10:30 ET: One of my fact-checkers just provided the following: She's a Hillaryite converted to Sarah Adoration. She's working to verify what she sent. "I just was told that MoveOn.org has pulled their Obama/Biden ads on facebook and replaced them with just a simple "Obama" ad.I can't find the sticker ad on my ad-board, I usually get it."

We have received information from sources high in the Democratic Party that, in a cynical, desperation move, Hillary Rodham Clinton will replace the hapless Joe Biden as V-P candidate on the Obama ticket. I will send out more information on this within the next hours -- and days. Hillary Clinton has said that Barack H. Obama is not qualified to be Commander-in-Chief. Presumably, he hasn't grown any more qualified in the past few weeks. As the saying now goes, "It took a Republican woman [Sarah Palin] to have the Obama Dems name a female to the ticket."

What the new campaign slogan? "I'm propping up an empty suit?" "He can sleep while I stay up till 3 a.m.?"

Scroll down for analysis of this stunning development

"Stand up! Stand up! And fight for what's right" (John McCain)

Much more information to follow later . . . This is the site that first broke the news that John McCain would name Sarah Palin as his running mate (scroll down).

Analysis of the coming "new" Democratic ticket:

When Sharon (OK), Jean (WA), and I figured out the story of the Sarah choice, I sent out e-mails that said "I hope I'm right . . ." Now, I know I'm right, even though you're not hearing it on CNN or MSNBC. Those people couldn't break an egg. My sources are from central Texas, Washington, DC, and elsewhere, and they are consistent truth-tellers and fact-knowers. Sarah and Jean are NOT the sources of this story, although neither one will be surprised.

One of the key moments in this development was when Joe Biden said in NH that Hillary Clinton would have been a "better" V-P candidate than he. I have been dancing around for days on blogs saying that "Hillary is coming . . ."

However, I believe McCain-Palin is unstoppable at this point, whomever the Dems run against them. There's no reason to disbelieve serious polls that show them 10 or more points ahead.

I feel as good about this story as I did about the Palin choice story two weeks ago. I will not name the people (three in recent days) who told me this is going to happen. I trust them all, and Democratic Party logic indicates that group will stoop to any lengths to try to win this race. After all, what's a few more months of humiliation for Sen. Clinton?

The "rumors" various people at Clintons4McCain and NoBama Mission had during the run-up to the Convention that Hillary didn't get the nod because "she asked for too much" were true. (Of course, with the Obama crowd, one wonders if "too much" was a promise that she wouldn't have to make coffee for The Chosen One.)

Right about now, with the Obama Campaign falling like a boulder from the sky, Hillary can get (promises! promises!) just about anything.

Okay, on Biden: the one straw that broke "Joe Camel's" back was the fact that the Palin Effect is going to cost the Democrats many seats in the Congress. The Rassmussen Poll shows that the huge "generic Democrat" lead nationally in congressional races has disappeared. I believe this has been noted (and how!) by the Democrats now likely to lose their seats.

I also believe the "transfer" of V-P roles probably COULD take place as early as Monday, although it could occur somewhat later. Biden -- "health problems," you know -- will not be "sick enough" to drop out of his Senate race. He doesn't look any sicker than usual to me. He does look old and tired. He got 9,000 votes in the presidential primaries, his high-water mark in two decades of running futilely for President.

Yes, Hillary Clinton can endorse Obama, the man who labeled her a warmonger, a liar, and a racist. She can endorse the politician whom her husband claimed "played the race card" against him.

Hey, friends this is today's "Obama Democrats." Nothing lost save honor and integrity.

When I heard from the McCain camp (through the legendary "little birdie") about their "Biden Strategy," I thought it was a good one. Essentially, it said, "Ignore him. He's irrelevant, a windbag who's been wrong on every major issue of our time." Well said. If he makes it to the debate on Oct. 2, Sarah Palin will mop the floor with him.

WHO STOLE TRIG PALIN'S PACIFIER

The following piece is about the Obama's Campaign never-ending attempt to dig up dirt in order to destroy Gov. Sarah Heath Palin. Since the attacks come exclusively from the Democratic Party, those who participate in any way in that Party's activities are in fact enablers of evil.

The following is humorous -- in a rueful way. It has "gone viral," and I appreciate the many positive comments I've received.Led by the "Chosen One," the Obama Campaign tends to get WAY off message, with long clouds of hot air being used to answer questions no one has asked. But it will get better at that. The ads and the smears will grow increasingly hateful -- and bizarre.

The current attack message is that Gov. Palin is a (shudder) Christian. Imagine that! What an outrage to the well -heeled liberal ladies of the Upper West Side and the desiccated secularists of "The View."

The New York Times will do a carefully crafted editorial on how -- in these troubled times -- any candidate who not an agnostic or athiest is truly fit to serve. MSNBC will launch a provocative expose on something-or-other.

In general, the modern Democratic Party is anti-Christian and anti-women. People like Obama and Biden list their "religious affiliation" with about as much conviction as they note their membership in the Kiwanis Club. I wish that were not true, because one would hope both Parties were responsible and committed enough to run the country.

The campaign to destroy Gov. Palin is going to fail. It is as pathetic as it is malicious and mendacious. We will hear endless charges that when she was 7 years-old Sarah took an extra cupcake at school. Presumably, some mentally disturbed person at her OLD church will make bizarre theological statements that will then be attributed (absurdly) to the Governor. We will also hear that Bristol Palin was not well-liked by three girls in junior high.

I wish I were exaggerating, but I fear that I'm not. We'll certainly hear unfriendly comments from some of the political crooks Sarah helped put in jail. Piper Palin will be questioned intensely on how many Black friends she has.

We will learn some truly shocking news: that Sarah once borrowed a cup of sugar -- and did not return it. A psychologist associated with "Entertainment Tonight" will analyze the underlying significance of the sugar theft. Theologians from the University of Chicago will be consulted to determine exactly which commandment Sarah broke.

Reporters will thoroughly examine Sarah's trash. It will reveal a rich lode of evidence: coffee grounds, used bread wrappers, spinach Piper refused to eat, and an extremely provocative empty bottle of olive oil -- Extra Virgin!

Does that bottle contain hidden significance? Is it a veiled plea for chastity before marriage? Is it a hidden rebuke to Bristol? There are now more lawyers (all from Chicago apparently) and media dirt hunters in Wasilla than there are permanent residents.

The National Enquirer ("All the news that fits we print") has a half-dozen people there (the entire Chicago bureau?), presumably looking for evildoing related in some arcane way to John Edwards mistress, Rielle Hunter and Todd Palin. The two will claim -- unconvincingly -- never to have met

Trust, me, Sarah's boyfriend when she was age 15 will receive constant media attention. Someone may find a copy of her secret diary composed during the ages 11 to 13! It will be examined closely for links to her current political philosophy.

Attempts will be made to steal Trig's pacifier. If the heist is successful, look for it on eBay -- opening bid at $10,000. Then, look for the Palins to buy a new one for $1.98 -- "film at 11."

A reference or photo in (Bristol-fiance) "Levi's" MySpace page will receive eight hours analysis by Matthews and Olberman. Track Palin will be accused of cross-checking a rival in a hockey 2004 match. Todd Palin's snow-machine racer will be subjected to forensic analysis.

So, in the face of all this media clamor, how do we win this election? If everyone who now favors McCain-Palin will recruit one new supporter -- or shore up one who's wavering, we will indeed prevail.

And, by the way, whatever happened to the "lovely" Michelle Obama? Did he ("the Chosen One") dump her ("the Unchosen One?") without our knowledge? Perhaps she's relocated to friendlier climes, such as Kenya? Was Barack seen -- or was he not -- in the company of Rielle Hunter?

Actually, I believe Michelle is under the same bus where Barack tossed grandma. But where oh where is Rev. Jeremiah Wright when we most need him?

Obama Ridicules Palin, Lipstick, Hunters

Sarah, the woman the liberal Democrats are desperately trying to dig up dirt on in order to destroy. They will fail. They are despicable.

"We cling to our God . . . and our children."
Sarah, Todd, and Trig Palin

[Former Massachusetts Governor] Jane Swift went quickly to work lat evening as a leader of a brand new "truth squad" defending GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, excoriating Barack Obama for a comment he made while campaigning in Virginia today.Obama told voters that they shouldn't believe McCain and Palin's talk about reforming Washington. "You can put lipstick on a pig," Obama said. "It's still a pig."

Republicans took offense, saying that was a personal attack on Palin, who during the GOP convention speech last week, asked delegates if they knew the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull. Pointing to her mouth, she exclaimed, "Lipstick."

Swift told reporters on a conference call that Obama's comment was "disgraceful" and that "he owes Governor Palin an apology." Challenged about how she could be sure that Obama was referring to Palin, Swift replied, "She's the only one of the four presidential or vice presidential candidates who wears lipstick."

The former Massachusetts governor said it's only the latest in a series of offensive comments from Obama and his supporters. She said that after going up against Hillary Clinton in the primaries, Obama's campaign "would have figured out how to respectfully" debate a female candidate."This is just the same old low road,"

Swift said.Republicans also blasted Obama for describing Palin in Michigan on Monday as a "mother, governor, moose shooter."

The McCain campaign issued a statement today from Walter Morse, co-chairman of New Hampshire Sportsmen for McCain: "What Barack Obama dismisses as a 'moose shooter' we in New Hampshire call a 'sportsman' or a 'moose hunter.' Senator Obama has demonstrated once again that he doesn't understand rural America -- and after suggesting that many of us 'cling' to religion and guns, he also doesn't seem interested in learning.

"Although the sportsmen's community knows Barack Obama is no friend, this comment reinforces the critical need for hunters and anglers to mobilize behind our allies John McCain and Sarah Palin."

PALIN: Alaska's New License Plate

If you prefer O-Mama to O-bama, you've come to the right place. Scroll down for the best and brightest material on America's new political sensation, Gov. Sarah Heath Palin. If you'd like to get the best Palin memorabilia on the Web, visit the following: http://palintology.com. Tell "Trish" that Steve sent you.

McCain-Palin: Winning Tactics

WINNING THE GROUND WAR REQUIRES COMMITMENT AND ACTION

PRINCIPLES:

We have strength in numbers.

We have exponential strength when executing a single, clear strategy.

Believe that we have victory only if we have the belief that our individual effort will be the critical piece to win and without individual involvement, we choose defeat . An idle solider on the battlefield results in deaths and surely defeat.

Commit to organizing and investing just one hour with four others between now and election day.

Each day is critical. Every day is a gaurantee to lose hundreds, thousands of votes when we are compacent.

Put your money where your mouth is.

THE FRONTS OF THE GROUND WAR:

Increase voter registration.Only 50-58% of total citizens vote. Imagine getting 65% of the base to show up. It will be a landslide. In fact. 2 or 3 additional percentage of pro-American citizens may be enough. This is the 'critical path.' If we fail to do this, nothing else matters.

Advocate Publically to Widen Audience. Take your message to the streets in a respectful matter with 4 other people together for one hour. Make signs showing supports. One hour of demonstrations can results in hundreds, maybe thousands being encouraged to support their candidate, reminded to register, encouraged to get involved. One hour can result in tens, maybe hundreds of votes. You will be surprised at the POSITIVE feedback you will get. Note: You may need a permit.

Fight the Media Bias. Keep them accountable. Fight the smears, show them that you will not take it. Everytime you see unfair treatment, call and email. Get others to do it. When egregious, take to the streets, contact advertisers. As we get closer to election, the MSM will be Obama-network. Fight, fight, fight for freedom, fight for country, fight for what's right.

Engage 'Persons of Influence' that impact campaign strategy locally and nationally. eg: McCain Campaign office, your local offices, prominent bloggers, newspapers. If you have a good idea or feedback on what the McCain campaign should to differently, DO NOT HESITATE, call the McCain office. Ask for RIck Davis' office. They will usually put you through. Busy signal, call back.

Put your Money where your Mouth is. Commit to buying just 1 sign and bumper sticker for $7.00. Then get friends and family to do so as well.

Commit to Placing SIgns in Just One Neighborhood (it might not even be yours..) or one Prominent visible Street. If you can, purchase them as they are donations, if not, your local office will have them. If legal, staple signs on telephone poles.

Add your Personal Touch - Be ye not ashamed of your candiate and beliefs. Blog, create a petion, create a "Soccer Mom's for McCain" or "IT Professionals for McCain/Palin,"Your neighborhood for McCain/Palin," have 'friendly political luncheon Friday's,' put and hand out your bumper stickers etc...

Tell all your friends and family that you will be calling them the day before and the day of voting. Tell local seniors or those limited in communications that you'll give them a ride to voting booth, even if it is not for your candidate. Ability to vote is a privilege, right and responsibility that was bought with blood. It must be cherished, it must be respected.

Remember, we have exponential strength in numbers - Get just 4 other people in your group. Show your support. Go to the local office and volunteer for one hour. The most critical, IMO is to increase voter registration. This is where we have an F and Obama has an A. Democrat registration is up by hundreds of thousands, maybe millions as a result of the Primaries and Republican registration is down. Have voter registration forms at your house.. in your car. Take them with you when you go out to demonstrate. Spend one hour doorbell dining ina a neighborhood. RESOURCES:

Pro McCain Letter Goes Viral

Piper Palin at Native Alaskan village is -- like her mom, Sarah Palin -- flying high.

Sarah Palin's electrifying speech at the Republican Convention -- followed by John McCain's impassioned call to "Fight for what's right" -- had a tremendous effect on the nation. Hillary Supporters are flocking to McCain-Palin, and that may be something Obama's Mud Machine can't counteract.

The following letter to me from Charles and Mary has "gone viral." It's all over the Web. Charles and Mary were fervent backers of Hillary Clinton. Now, they're equally committed backers of John McCain and Sarah Heath Palin. If you wish, please copy it and send to friends and family.

"Steve...I will pass this on to all my people. I agree with you 100%....the last few minutes of McCain's speech should be placed in a commercial and run it many times...Steve...As I mentioned..I am a Marine Veteran and when McCain said "Fight, Fight, Fight for what is right and what you believe in...stand up, stand up and fight with me, fight etc..." Steve...many memories came back about some very brave wonderful people who fought and I am NOT ashamed to admit...as strong as I am...I had tears in my eyes...I really did Steve.By the way, sometimes with all the work everyone is doing we forget to take a second to thank the people who are doing more than anyone.
"Steve, Mary and I want to thank you more than you'll ever know for what you're doing. You are a proud and wonderful American and I am proud to know you.May God Bless you and your Family always." All our bestMary and Charles
Mary and Charles, I lvoe you both. Beyond that, I believe Sen. McCain and Sarah Palin also love you. I know you two will always "fight for what's right."

Palin More Qualified Than Obama

Sarah Palin is the political "hurricane" from Alaska, and American politics will never be the same. She's the kind of national leader that comes along about once in a century -- and the Democrats believe they're finished if they and their media minions don't destroy her. They will not -- and cannot -- succeed.

In the words of national columnist Jack Kelly, "Journalists last week cast aside the mask of objectivity to reveal they are so deeply in the tank for Mr. Obama [that] most have grown gills." (http://post-gazette.com/forum). Most MSM types hate Sarah Palin. Most Americans love her -- for obvious reasons.

If you scroll down to the post two Fridays ago, you'll see that this blog BROKE the story that John McCain would name Sarah Palin as his running mate. Frankly, I beat the MSM by 8 hours, since my story appeared at 2:30 a.m. I've explained how I knew it would happen and why I took the "risk" ("I hope I'm right," I said) of going with it. On that Fateful Friday, I had more blog visitors in ONE DAY than I'd had -- combined -- in the previous year.

I sincerely believe that on this blog and my others (stevemaloneygop and hillarysupportersformccain) you're going to find the very best insight and analysis about the McCain-Palin team and their opponents. I've been advocating for 18 months that Sarah Palin get a place on the ticket.
As this week unfolds, I'll be posting about many topics, including: (1) Why the MSM HATES Sarah Palin -- mainly because she's a normal American with tremendous capacity to upset Obama's apple cart; (2) Why voter intimidation by Obama thugs in the Black community is a national disgrace; and, (3) Why the McCain-Palin team has a chance to produce some dramatic -- and highly positive -- changes in American popular culture (briefly, Sarah is the kind of decent, caring person who can help turn around the "sliming of American society."
Is Sarah Palin qualified for very high office? To determine the answer, please read the following opinion piece from the Miami Herald:
The following is from the Miami Herald and titled, "Candidate Obama is not qualified"
Now that Barack Obama has selected Joe Biden as his vice presidential running mate and John McCain has tapped Sarah Palin as his, we know five definitive things about all four distinguished candidates:Three are qualified to be vice president; two as president;and one for neither position.
One: Obama picked Biden because of what he is not: white and experienced.
Two: McCain picked Palin because of who is he not: a woman.
Three: Biden is more qualified to be president than either Obama or McCain.
Four: Palin is more qualified to be vice president or president than Obama.
Five: Biden has been a senator for 35 years, chairman of the Senate Judiciary and Foreign Relations committees. McCain spent four years as a U.S. House member and the past 22 years as a senator, also chairing the Senate Commerce Committee.
Palin was a city council member and chairwoman for four years, mayor for six years, ethics commissioner for four years and governor for two years. Combined she has 16 years of experience.
Obama has been a state senator in Illinois for seven years and a U.S. senator for the past 3 ½ years, two of which have been spent running for president.
If anyone doesn't belong in the Oval Office, it is Barack Obama.

Sarah Palin: America's Pit Bull

Read below for critical poll analysis! Sarah Palin is dominating the medai, print and electronic, and something once-unthinkable is occurring: bloggers supporting John McCain -- 500-plus -- are beginning to dominate the Web.

Sarah Palin: "You know the difference between a pit bull and a hockey mom? Lipstick!"
Thanks to the 140,000-plus people who have visited my blogs in the past eight days. My main blog is: http://camp2008victorya.blogspot.com/. I also have a very popular blog established in April that appeals mainly to people who supported Hillary Clinton and are now behind McCain-Palin: http://hillarysupportersformccain.blogspot.com/. Finally, there's my Pennsylvania-specific blog: http://pennsylvaniaforjohnmccain.blogspot.com/. I hope you'll visit all of them frequently. I was the blogger who broke the story that McCain would choose Sarah Palin as his running-mate -- at 2:30 a.m. two Fridays ago.
Sunday) Zogby Poll Showing McCain-Palin with significant lead. I believe this poll is probably accurate. It doesn't factor in the reality that some people always say they'll vote for Obama and then they don't. I believe the Gallup Poll is off this year as it was in 2004, when it said Bush would win PA (he didn't), and Kerry would win OH (he didn't), and FL was a "toss up" (it wasn't, Bush won handily)
McCain's people expect their "bounce" to continue through about Sept. 11 or 12. But the race will continue to be fairly close through the November election. Obama's still significant leads in Illinois, New York, California, and even the N. England states (other than NH) are hiding the fact that McCain-Palin is doing well at this point in terms of winning the presidency. The McCain Campaign (as with the naming of Sarah Palin and her tremendous performance in St. Paul) continues to throw the Obama-Biden Campaign off balance, which has been the case for months.
Obama's tiny bounce from Denver was mostly a name recognition increase. Unlike McCain, Obama gained no traction from his vice-presidential choice -- and probably further irritated Hillary Supporters.
True, some Hillary Supporters who were on the fence seem to have gravitated toward Obama. However, most Hillary Supporters are either pleased or thrilled with the Sarah choice. Her obvious "toughness" (moral fiber and courage) also has appeal to male voters, particularly in Red States but also in battleground sites like PA, OH, and MI. McCain needs to run as a commercial the last minute-plus of his speech in St. Paul, complete with the roaring Convention crowd -- and the huge, responsive group in Times Square.
McCain is probably praying that the Obama Camp goes negative against Sarah Palin, because negativity aimed at her has backfired badly. America loves the Palin Family, and political bullying will not work.
The national media will continue to carry water for Obama, but fewer and fewer people take them seriously. The critical thing for people who admire John and Sarah is to continue to reach out to people who might normally go with the Democratic candidate.
This key segment of this group is women voters, particularly those who liked (or REALLY liked) Senator Clinton. Mrs. Clinton may be in somewhat of a trap. If she comes on too strong against Palin, she may further erode her already tarnished image.

Sarah Palin Ensuring PA Victory

"As Pennsylvania goes, so goes the nation . . ."

Below in italics read a then-confidential memo I sent Cristi Adkins, founder of Clintons4McCain and a key figure in McCain-Palin's efforts to win VA, PA, and OH. The memo was written on August 5, a month ago. It outlines how McCain can win -- and perhaps win decisively -- crucial battleground states -- and has a growing opportunity to win NJ.

If those victories occur, as appears increasingly likely, John McCain late on Nov. 4 will be President-elect and Sarah Palin vice-president elect. Remember, I was writing long before most Americans had ever heard of Sarah Heath Palin, the most dynamic figure in today's political scene.

I wrote the memo below without Sarah Palin in mind. She is a candidate who has tremendous appeal in all of Pennsylvania outside the urban centers of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Even in those two cities, she will help McCain perform better than any other GOP candidate since Reagan.

Cristi, the longer Obama continues his clown act the more chance we have to win PA and VA. I'm going to call on bloggers to ask people to go to VA, even for a day or two and the same with with PA. Perhaps people around the country will provide some financial help to individuals of modest means who will travel to PA and VA to go door-to-door for McCain. Remember, McCain will be on federal funds after the GOP Convention [and is now on September 5]

Now and in the future, everybody needs to get a copy of Michael Barone's The Almamac of American Politics (a little pricey, granted, about $45, but a great tool). I bet the 2006 edition sells for about six bucks.I

It tells people everything they need to know about PA, VA, OH, NJ, and every congressional district in those states. It's wonderful. My district (PA 4th, west and north of Pittsburgh) has heavy Democratic registration edge, but always votes for the GOP presidential candidate. The same in the 12th district (Johnstown to Washington, PA).

The district I live in is the "bitter place" Obama demeaned -- pro-God, pro-gun (also pro-life), pro-military, mainly white, mainly working class. It voted two-and-a-half to one for Hillary. It's west and north of Pittsburgh. The people here are suspicious of Obama. They want to vote for a man of mixed race, which Obama is, but they worry greatly about a person who spent 20 years in the church of a crazed anti-American and racist, Jeremiah Wright.

The only PA areas remotely resembling Virginia's affluent Fairfax County are the counties (Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Delaware) outside Philly. Obama carrried those counties in the primaries but not by impressive margins.

Laureen [a McCain volunteer] and others are working in Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties (Scranton and Wilkes-Barre), which are important ones. Hillary carried them by three-to-one margins. There is a ferocious congressional race there, and a lot of interest.

New Jersey is not in play just yet yet, but it is heading in that direction. Note: Hillary Clinton carried NJ with a big majority. [Note: On September 5, I believe NJ IS in play.]

Added today: Sarah Palin, a female professional, wife of a union man, mother of a soldier, pro-life, and pro-Second Amendment, greatly reinforces the strengths McCain in PA already had.

Thus, McCain-Palin, which has overtaken the fading Obama campaign, should carry Pennsylvania, perhaps by a large margin.
