Clinton Aministration: See No Evil

On Thursday, I'll add to yesterday's post about Bill Clinton's complicity in the 9/11 attacks. I urge you to visit to get the real story -- for a change. The national media love Obama. The public increasingly doesn't, as revealed in today's Zogby Poll (discussed on my other national blog). Those of you who would like to read more about the decline of the CIA (and the FBI) under Bill Clinton's Administration should buy Bob Baer's outstanding book, See No Evil. When it came to terrorists and terrorism, "see no evil" could have been Clinton's motto.

If our country had a strong FBI and a strong CIA working together (which apparently was "illegal"), 9/11 probably would not have occurred. Under Bill Clinton, the notion was that the CIA was an anachronism, a relic of the Cold War. As for the FBI, it spent an inordinate amount of time chasing bank robbers -- and ignoring terrorists. The results were the first World Trade Center bombing, the destruction of Oklahoma's Murrah Building, and -- ultimately -- the attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon.

As I mentioned previously, George W. Bush knew that responsibility for 9/11 lay with his predecessor, William Jefferson Clinton. During the later part of his presidency, Clinton was much more occupied with the Monica Lewinsky and Paula Jones matters than with the more important Osama bin Laden matters. He focused more on a certain purple dress than on al Qaeda, and we Americans paid the price.
