I am afraid, though, that Thompson looked like the Elephant in the China Shop. Giuliani was excellent, but Thompson had 'presence'.

I'm afraid that "presence" may be all Fred Thompson has. To me, he's too old (67 on Inauguration Day, 2009). His health doesn't look all that good (non-Hodgkins lymphoma), and I just don't see the kind of energy and humanity this country needs. What exactly is it that Fred Thompson is going to bring to the table? The fact that he was an actor making megabucks on a show that's vaguely anti-American? I don't agree at all with the Dobson criticisms, but there are so many other problems with him. Hillary will come across as committed and Fred will come across as "Arthur Branch," the man who never saw a middle-ground he didn't take.

Rudy's a great guy and a wonderful candidate, I think he'll win the nom. but face some tough competation from Romney at the begining. I have fears though of how Rudy is going to do under the Clinton machine, particularly with the firefighter "Rudy didn't protect us" crap. It's a comin'.
