If just half of those 4 million who do not support Obama were to immediately give $10 to both the McCain campaign and PumaPac, the influx of cash would spread the Puma message like a wildfire through the media while providing the McCain campaign with the extra resources they need to overcome the wealthy who have funded 60% of Obama's campaign. If the just half of this 4 million were to contribute the media would be forced to question a campaign that they have more often referred to as a "movement", than as the "political campaign" it is."--J. Obamaphiles love playing the "race card" any time they run into someone who supports John McCain. Especially when it's Hillary Clinton supporters who now do. They insist that since "Hillary and Obama's policies are nearly the same," there MUST be discrimination and racism involved.

They never consider that it's not the color of the skin -- it's the content of character, of which Barack Hussein Obama has none.

This insistent, shallow view they have comes from simple blame-shifting in advance. They've already created their ready-made excuse for when their Anointed One gets wiped out in November. There's a history of this, going all the way back to 1980 really, where the DNC will put out its advance talking points for "why we lost" well in advance of the general election.

We've heard them all, they blame-shift each time. They blame the people for just being "uneducated," they blame evangelicals, they blame "biased media," they blame "the rich" they blame "big business" they blame "vote fraud" they blame "right-wing talk radio" they blame "faux news." They make all these excuses in advance, so they can later say these excuses with a straight face and get you to believe them.

This time? The excuse in advance for Obama losing is "racism."

It's never about ideas, it's never really about "change," it's never about the fact that the PEOPLE simply reject extremist leftist socialism. It's always about blame shifting and total lack of ideas and total disconnect with intelligent Americans. It's about good old fashioned Nazi-style propaganda. They say things like, "we just didn't get our message out"; well, YES YOU DID!!

That's the whole PROBLEM! You got your "message" out, and the people REJECTED it!

They can NEVER say things like, "the people just didn't trust our candidate" or, "our agenda was too far leftist for Americans." They have to blame "gun-toting bible-thumpers" and "bitter people" and in this case, definitely "racism" is the big club, the ace in the hole for ObamaBots and Obamaphiles.

They can't, never have, and never will tell the truth about why they lost, just like their candidates can never really tell the truth about what they stand for -- because Americans simply won't eat that can of corn.

Democratic Friend Calls for Help

My friend Betty Jean Kling is a friend indeed. She's a Hillary Supporter who is still trying hard to get the nomination for Sen. Clinton. She asked for help, and I'm pleased to give it. [Scroll down to the previous column to read about Obama's total flipperoo on the issue of gay marriage.]

Now is the time for all good patriots to come to the service of their country.

Calling all supporters for help in all 50 states this week. Can you help us find the email address of at 2000 delegates from across the US?

We need to Flip 175, that means we have to send the message to 2000 + delegates and hope we get through to 200 in time! Will Bower of Puma has laid out a very strong case but unless we present it to those who matter we are preaching to the choir.

I know we have supporters in all 50 States , contact everyone you know - We can beat Obama at his own Game he is a Community organizer but we can do better - I know we can. Time to stop jabbering and start jabbing! Let's get to the heart of the matter. Let's roll.

Dear Friends, Thank you for the opportunity to welcome everyone to the Alice B. Toklas LGBT Democratic Club's Pride Breakfast and to congratulate you on continuing a legacy of success, stretching back thirty-six years. As one of the oldest and most influential LGBT organizations in the country, you have continually rallied to support Democratic candidates and causes, and have fought tirelessly to secure equal rights and opportunities for LGBT Americans in California and throughout the country.

As the Democratic nominee for President, I am proud to join with and support the LGBT community in an effort to set our nation on a course that recognizes LGBT Americans with full equality under the law.

That is why I support extending fully equal rights and benefits to same sex couples under both state and federal law. That is why I support repealing the Defense of Marriage Act and the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" policy, and the passage of laws to protect LGBT Americans from hate crimes and employment discrimination.

And that is why I oppose the divisive and discriminatory efforts to amend the California Constitution, and similar efforts to amend the U.S. Constitution or those of other states. For too long. issues of LGBT rights have been exploited by those seeking to divide us.

It's time to move beyond polarization and live up to our founding promise of equality by treating all our citizens with dignity and respect. This is no less than a core issue about who we are as Democrats and as Americans.

Finally, I want to congratulate all of you who have shown your love for each other by getting married these last few weeks.

Hillary Clinton's Decline and Fall

[The main directory of groups opposed to the election of Barack Obama is at: www.nobamanetwork.com . There are now nearly 300 organizations (some very large), blogs, and web sites listed there. The group is run by a Republican, Wendy, and it consists of Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and various others. It's a great site and is set up to stimulate networking. Another group that's working actively with the McCain Campaign is: http://womenforfairpolitics.com . It started out as a site to back Hillary Clinton, but it now includes people of all political persuasions. I hope you'll all consider joining (or at least using) these good sites.]

One member of a Hillary Supporters Group accused me of trying to disrupt the group (apparently because I'm a Republican). Actually, I couldn't disrupt a family picnic in my hometown of Ambridge, PA.

Admittedly, I'm extremely skeptical about people who would prefer to spend their time fantasizing about somehow getting "St. Hillary" the Democratic nomination. I'm also irritated by people who rationalize endlessly about why Sen. Clinton endorsed Sen. Obama for the presidency.

Some of those people say she did it because "she had a gun to her head." Google those words, and you'll see how often the phrase comes up. However, I saw no gun.

Others say she did it to "preserve her career" as a politician who might someday gain the White House. That explanation doesn't exactly seem to cover her -- a mere careerist? -- with glory.

Anyway, here's my response:

I haven't read the email about me trying to tear up the group, which the group seemed to be doing a fine job of on its own. I have a hard time when people are saying absurd things in not responding, which may be a weakness.

I keep quoting that old saying by the poet T.S. Eliot about "Humankind cannot bear very much reality." The reality is that Mrs. Clinton let down her supporters and also, I believe, her country in coming out and slavishly endorsing Obama, a man who spent 18 months humiliating her.

In short, she did the things that career politicians always do. Frankly, rationalizing what she did means holding her to much lower standards than we do ourselves.

Thus, I'm the kid saying "The Emperor [Empress] has no clothes." And the crowd, fearful and confused, is treating me like the enemy for stating the obvious. I tell the truth. I don't do fairy tales. I don't humor people. I don't hold up false hopes. I don't rationalize dishonorable behavior. I judge people as I would like to be judged.

Like many people in the [Hillary Supporters] group, I endorse John McCain. I have done so since the New Hampshire Primary. I have done so because I believe he is the best -- the most honorable and capable -- person running for President. More honorable than Barack Obama. More honorable than Hillary Clinton. More honorable than President Bill Clinton.

In her "Unity" speech, which contained a thoroughly gratuitous dig at Sen. McCain, who is her better in every way, Mrs. Clinton proved that my assessment of the candidates was correct.

Some people don't want to hear that. They are the same people who don't want to hear that it's raining during a downpour. When people face up to the new realities about Mrs. Clinton and the Democratic Party as it now exists, they will be able to take constructive actions on behalf of their country. Before that, they will engage mainly in one futile exercise after another.

Senator McCain has put his career and his political future on the line innumerable times throughout his time in Washington. I do not believe Senator Clinton has ever done that, or will ever do it. If I'm wrong in that characterization, I'd love to hear about it.

Stacey: New PA Blogger Emerges

Recently, I've been asking visitors to join two organizations: (1) The Nobama Network, a huge coaltion of people committed to keeping Barack Obama out of the White House; (2) Clintons4McCain, a group of Hillary Supporters, Republicans, and Indepdents working for the election of John McCain. On this site, I'll begin my regular columns again on Sunday, July 6.

On my Pennsylvania blog Thurssday afternoon, I put up the following material about a fine new blogger, Stacey:

Western PA Activist Blasts Altmire
I write a lot of blog columns -- many hundreds of them to this point. Another thing I do is try to emcourage other bloggers -- young and old -- to take up the "hobby." One of them is Stacey, born in WV and now a western PA activist, who has a new, highly readable blog. You can find it at: http://smartgirlpolitics.blogspot.com. Her first column takes Congress to task for preventing American firms from drilling for oil. She "lays the wood to" her own congressman (and mine), Jason Altmire. Like me, Stacey strongly favors Melissa Hart, who's committed to bringing down gasoline prices. Please take a look at Stacey's work -- an excerpt follows.

"Congress has the ability to help its people, but chooses not to do anything . . . in order to win an election. In the last few weeks, Congress could have passed a bill to remove the ban on drilling off of our coasts. They could have begun eliminating obstacles to building new nuclear plants. They could have promoted the expansion of the clean coal process. They could have allowed us to begin drilling for more natural gas. They could have lifted the ban on ANWR. They could have passed a bill to incentivize the expansion of renewable energy sources. They could have lowered the price of the gas in your tank. If Congress would take ANY of these steps, the price of gas would go down.

"What did they do? Nothing, nada, zilch, zip, zero.Instead they tell you that these steps would only lower the price a few cents. At this point, lowering it a few cents would be better than allowing it to go up. They tell you to blame big oil and those evil speculators. They tell you it will take years to get any oil from new homeland sources. I don't know, but years sounds better than never to me. It is time for the American people to tell Congress a thing or two."

Clinton/Palin 2012 Presidential Race?

On my national blog [you're here now] about 6 p.m. Wednesday, I'll have a column up about two women who could be competing for the presidency in 2012: Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York and Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, whose youngest daughter, Piper, age 7, is pictured jumping on a huge sealskin in a Native Alaskan area. Piper has to be one of the most charming children in America, and sometimes the TV stations want to interview her before they talk to her very popular mother. Sarah Palin is reportedly on McCain's short list for V-P choices. She has five children, including a newborn boy, Trig.

THE CASE FOR SARAH ON THE GOP TICKET

Sarah Palin may very well be John McCain's choice for V-P on the Republican ticket. Barack Obama apparently doesn't want Hillary to be his V-P choice, but for purely political reasons he may choose her anyway.

Why do Obama-types fear the presence of Sarah Palin on the Republican ticket? In part, it's her legendary toughness (they don't call her "Sarah Barracuda" for no reason). But her main strength is her strong appeal to critical groups of voters. Consider:

Married women: Sarah's marriage to Todd Palin gives every evidence of being a model relationship. Sarah and Todd were childhood sweethearts, and they eloped shortly after she graduated from high school.

Young people: Sarah is only 44, and she exudes youthfulness and energy. She has children ranging in age from 18 (son Track) to a few weeks (son Trig).

Military families: Sarah and Todd are a military family. Their son Track enlisted in the U.S. Army Infantry on September 11, 2007. It's extremely likely he will see combat duty in either Afghanistan or Iraq, or both.

Families with children: The Palins have five children, three of them teenagers (Track, Willow, Bristol), as well as daughter Piper, age 7, and baby Trig (a Norwegian name).

Reagan Democrats: Palin has the highest approval ratings of any major elected official in the U.S. -- in the 90% range. That means she's gained approval from the vast majority of Democrats. Like Ronald Reagan, she's a master communicator.

Women professionals (journalists, teachers, nurses, doctors, lawyers, and businesswomen): Sarah is the consummate female professional, having served as Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, and as governor of the state. Her college degree is in journalism. Her parents both served as public school teachers.

Working families: Sarah's husband, Todd, has labored his entire adult life as a commercial fisherman and an oil field production worker. The couple's links to working families go far beyond the usual political rhetoric.

Gun owners: Like many Alaskans, Sarah is an avid hunter and a life-member of the National Rifle Association.

Pro-Life social conservatives: When Sarah found out that her unborn son, Trig, had Down Syndrome, she and her husband elected to have the child. Her point was that God has a purpose for every human being. When Trig was born, the Palins' press release began with these words, "God has blessed us . . . ." The fascinating point was that they meant every word of it.

Evangelical Christians: Sarah is an evangelical Christian. However, she doesn't wear her religious faith on her sleeve. She is not anti-gay and does not scapegoat people who disagree with her.

People concerned about energy and the environment: As governor of Alaska, Sarah is among the best-informed elected officials on both issues. She's head of the energy committee at the Republican Governors Association and is a strong advocate of level-headed conservation of natural resources.

Overall, there's no other Republican that brings more to the table than Sarah Palin. She has exceptionally wide appeal. She would help John McCain with many groups with which he's currently weak (including young people and women professionals).

Of supreme importance: Sarah could be particularly helpful in battleground states with large numbers of working class voters, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey, and Michigan.

Obama: Too Inexperienced, Too Liberal

I call the McCain-Obama image above one of Obama's (many) "Dukakis Moments." I'm referring to the photos and videos in 1988 that showed Michael Dukakis in an ill-fitting helmet, grinning absurdly as he rode around in a small tank. On seeing that, millions of Americans decided Dukakis was not the man they wanted to be commander-in-chief. Trust me, Obama faces a similar fate.

On my other blogs today I'll be talking about Gov. Kathleen Sibelius' ridiculous comment that people who call the lightweight Obama "inexperienced" or "too liberal" are using code words for racism. Kathleen, that dog won't hunt anymore.


Obama isn't only inexperienced and wildly liberal, it is he who is the racist. He's the one who called his grandmother -- now featured in ads directed at white voters -- "a typical white person." The national media gives him a free pass on that racist comment, but the voters won't.
As Larry Johnson says in the following graph, Obama is also a coward -- a man who kicks his surrogates under the bus when it's to his political advantage.

The North Vietnamese tortured John McCain for years but he resisted until he was physically broken and scarred for life. What did it take to make Barack crack? Some pointed criticism from Republicans. Barack was not hung by his arms and beaten by bamboo. Nonetheless, in a quintessential display of cowardice as a leader, he sold out Wesley Clark. Note to Clark–nice try General, but it is time to realize that Barack does not stand and take the fire. He cuts and runs. He is a coward. "
